Animated by a profound admiration for nature’s miracles and wonders, I love to capture, with fascination, different aspects of the beauty my homeland has to offer.
I draw my inspiration from two of the most naturally beautiful parts of Australian landscape: Tamborine Mt in the Gold Coast Hinterland of QLD and the Tasman Peninsula on the S-E Coast of Tasmania, which I have been blessed to call home, each in equal measure.
Over the years I’ve been playing with different styles and mediums, but what defines my personality as an artist are mostly modern impressionism and conceptual abstractionism, with a love for the versatility of acrylics in all their forms, with added elements of texture and mixed media.
Although I had a life-long love affair with art and a formal European artistic education with several accolades, I have drifted away from artistic expression for a number of years, which in retrospect I now feel those years to be the emptiest and most unhappy years of my life. So, one day, I picked up a brush again and never looked back. Art is my happy place, a place of calm, recollection, introspection and release. And love; pure unconditional love
Nature and art, complementing each other, forming the pure essence of my soul. And when I cease to be, I dream of leaving this plane surrounded by nature, with art in my heart. I am ephemeral, but nature and art will be forever. And when I’ll be no more, my art will speak for me, testament of a little grain of dust I once was in this limitless Universe of love.
